No, you do not need any foreign domains ( like companyname.fr or companyname.de ) what we will do is the English page remains as your master webpage and other will be the translated language extension pages as below
www.websitename.com/index.htm
www.websitename.com/french.htm
www.websitename.com/german.htm etc…..
